Dr. Sophia Grace Kidd is Associate Professor at Sichuan International Studies University and a curator, publisher, and cultural entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of experience in the fine art sector. Her work operates at the intersection of contemporary art and transnational discourse, with a sustained focus on how artistic practices circulate across cultural, intellectual, and geopolitical contexts.

In addition to directing Sophia Grace Gallery, Dr. Kidd leads Igneus Press, the independent publishing house founded in 1989, where she oversees publications in art, literature, and critical scholarship. Her academic research and curatorial projects engage contemporary art through the lenses of political economy, cultural geography, and global exchange, and she is the author of scholarly monographs addressing the intersections of culture and international development.

Through her dual commitments to scholarship and exhibition-making, Dr. Kidd advances a director-led model grounded in intellectual rigor, cross-cultural dialogue, and long-term engagement with artists and collectors alike.
