Li Zhanyang

Li Zhanyang was born in 1969 in Changchun, Jilin Province, China. He graduated from the Sculpture Department ofLu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in 1994. In 1999, he pursued advanced studies at the Graduate Program for Equivalent Academic Qualifications at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. From 2004 to 2005, he taught at the Villa Arson Art School in Nice, France. In 2014, he enrolled in the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, where he studied at the Cultural Heritage and Museology Center and
earned a master’s degree. From 2017 to 2018, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States. He is currently a professor in the Sculpture Department at the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and resides in Chongqing.
 
He had held and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His works are collected by institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, Wuhan Art Museum, Guangzhou Art Museum, Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, White Rabbit Gallery in Australia, Rubell Family Collection in Miami, USA, Porsche Company, as well as by Uli Sigg ,etc.
